- Most of the price is the prep, not the bottle of coating.
- FTG's 3-Year Ceramic Coating is $550 / $650 / $750 by vehicle size.
- Swirled paint should be corrected before it's coated.

What you're actually paying for
The coating itself is a small part of the price. Most of the cost is the prep: washing, decontaminating and polishing the paint so the coating bonds to a clean surface. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, swirls included, so skipping the prep is how cheap coatings end up disappointing.
Our ceramic coating prices
At FTG, the 3-Year Ceramic Coating is priced by vehicle size and applied in your driveway:
| Vehicle | 3-Year Ceramic Coating |
|---|---|
| Car / sedan | $550 |
| Small SUV | $650 |
| Truck / 3-row SUV | $750 |
If the paint has heavy swirls, we'll recommend paint correction first, and we tell you before we start.
Why quotes vary so much
- Vehicle size. More paint means more prep and more product.
- Paint condition. A new car may only need a light polish. A daily driver with years of automatic car washes needs more work.
- Coating durability. Longer-rated coatings cost more and need more careful prep.
- What's included. Some quotes cover only the paint. Others include wheels and glass. Ask what's covered.
Is it worth it in South Jersey?
If you keep your car a few years, usually yes. Road salt in winter, pollen in spring and tree sap in summer all stick less to coated paint, and washing gets much faster. If you're trading the car in soon, the wax from a full detail may be enough.
How to keep a coating working
- Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap and skip harsh brush car washes.
- Dry with a clean microfiber towel.
- Rinse off bird droppings and sap quickly, even on coated paint.

Common questions
Is ceramic coating cheaper than paint correction?
Our coating starts at $550 and one-step correction also starts at $550. Many cars need both: correction first, then coating.
Do you apply ceramic coating at my house?
Yes. We apply it in your driveway anywhere in our South Jersey service area, as long as the weather lets us do it properly.
